But here's where it gets controversial... Rosemary's journey to this creative crossroads is a testament to the power of following one's heart. During the Covid lockdown, she found herself at a crossroads, reevaluating her path and discovering a renewed passion for music.
And this is the part most people miss... Rosemary's story is a reminder that life is full of unexpected twists. She made a bold move, switching from her final year of a law degree to pursuing a career in the health sector. Now, she works for East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust, but her true passion lies in the melodies she creates.
"I fell out of love with law," she confesses. "I started exploring creative opportunities, and music became my sanctuary."
During lockdown, Rosemary had time to reflect and pursue her love for singing, having been part of choirs since her school days. She began writing and recording music with her brother, and her passion blossomed.
But how does she manage her dual roles? Rosemary reveals that her project management skills have surprisingly translated into her music career. "The skills are versatile," she explains. "They help with the business side of music, from booking gigs to planning recording sessions."
Her hard work has paid off. Rosemary has performed at various venues across the country, releasing singles and an EP titled "Love, Chidimma." She describes writing and performing as her "favourite things to do."
So, what's next for this talented artist? Rosemary is taking things one step at a time, enjoying the creative process and seeing where it leads. "I never imagined releasing an EP, so who knows what this year has in store?"
